He said it was his favorite song. Turns out, it was hers first. Catchy Tune is the heartbreak of realizing you were singing along to someone else’s love story.

Coming April 4…

“Catchy Tune” tells the story of a girl who thought she was sharing something intimate, only to discover she was standing in someone else’s shadow the entire time. It explores the quiet betrayal of realizing a moment you cherished wasn’t original. it was borrowed. The song wrestles with jealousy, comparison, and the humiliation of feeling replaceable. At its core, it’s about how one small detail can unravel an entire love story.

“I wrote this song because I couldn’t escape it. Not just him; the song. It was playing in my head while I was doing dishes, walking around, trying to move on. I had attached so much meaning to it because I thought it was a piece of his heart. When I found out it was actually tied to someone else, it felt like the last little souvenir I had was taken from me too.

“I think we’ve all had that moment where something ordinary (a song, a place, a smell) gets completely rewritten by the truth. I wanted to capture that feeling of, “I wish I didn’t know what I know now.” But I also hope when people listen, they feel seen. Maybe they’ll laugh a little at how dramatic we can be over a three-minute pop song. Maybe they’ll cry. Either way, I hope it reminds them that even the things that hurt can turn into something powerful… and maybe even a hit.”

“This project took on a life of its own in the best way. It was the first song I’ve ever had produced in Nashville, and the first time since 2022 that I didn’t produce everything entirely on my own. And honestly? It wasn’t scary at all. It felt electric. I’ve never felt more alive or more like myself than I did during this process. This is where I belong. This is what I’m built to do.
“We went bigger than we ever have before—full music video, choreography, dancers, actors, multiple locations, wardrobe, props, multiple days of filming. We even flew one of our close friends in from Canada to be part of it. Every detail felt intentional. Every set felt like stepping further into the vision I’ve carried for years.

“I truly believe this is the beginning of a new era for me—an abundant chapter. The kind where the work I’ve been doing quietly, faithfully, behind the scenes finally steps into the light. I’m so deeply grateful to every single person who gave their time and talent to this project. And strangely enough, I’m grateful to the boy who broke my heart in Romania, too. Without that story, there wouldn’t be this song. And without this song, I wouldn’t be standing so confidently in who I am right now.”
