“‘Lost Boy’ was never supposed to be anything more than a simple cover I recorded back in 2023 because my brother thought i sounded like ruth b., and somehow it became the song that introduced so many people to my music over 2 years later. I’ve always cringed at the rough edges of that first version, but I’m grateful for what it did for me, so I wanted to re-record it with the voice and confidence I have now. This new take feels like closing an old chapter and opening a new one at the same time. My hope is that listeners hear the heart behind it: the growth, the gratitude, and the story of where I started. It’s the same song… just finally sung as the artist I’ve become.”
