At its core, this song is a funeral for what once was—an unflinching look at how fragile even the strongest connections can be. It’s both mournful and cathartic, written as a way of laying loss to rest through music. It feels like standing at a graveside and letting sorrow sing itself out. For listeners, it’s an invitation to grieve, release, and find beauty in letting go.

“I wrote this song out of heartbreak—not the romantic kind, but the kind that comes when someone you trust and love breaks something you thought would last forever. It’s a song about standing at the grave of what was, mourning, and then choosing to bury it in music. For me, songwriting has always been a way to take pain and give it a new home, so it doesn’t have to torture me anymore. Yes, something beautiful was lost—but through this song, I was able to transform that loss into its own kind of beauty. My hope is that people who hear it will find the same release, and know that even grief can bloom into something healing.”
